Questions?

01. Acceptance of terms

By using our website, submitting an application or paying a deposit, you agree to these Terms and Conditions together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer and Refund and Cancellation Policy. If you enrol on behalf of a learner under 18, you accept these terms on their behalf.

02. Programs and schedules

Program descriptions, durations and schedules are published on our website and in enrolment materials. We may adjust session order, instructors, recipes or timings for operational reasons, ingredient availability or to improve teaching. If we make a significant change to a program you have paid for, we will tell you in advance and offer reasonable alternatives.

03. Eligibility and enrolment

  • Learners must be at least 16 years old. Learners aged 16–17 require written guardian consent.
  • An application is accepted once we confirm your seat and receive the admission deposit.
  • You must provide accurate personal information and inform us of any changes.
  • We may decline or cancel an enrolment where information is false or where admission would put the safety of others at risk.

04. Fees and payment

Program fees are listed on our Admissions page and include ingredients for practical sessions, uniform, printed manuals and certification unless stated otherwise. Installment schedules are agreed at enrolment. If an installment is overdue by more than 14 days, we may pause your attendance until the balance is paid. All fees are payable in the currency shown, and official receipts are issued for every payment.

05. Attendance and certification

To receive a certificate you must attend at least 85% of scheduled sessions and pass the practical assessment for your program. Certificates confirm the modules completed with Desi Recipe; they are not government-accredited qualifications unless explicitly stated. Missed sessions may be made up in another batch where seats are available.

06. Kitchen safety and conduct

Professional kitchens contain hot surfaces, sharp tools and heavy equipment. All learners must:

  • Follow instructions from chefs and mentors at all times.
  • Wear the provided uniform and closed, non-slip shoes.
  • Declare any food allergies or medical conditions that could affect safety.
  • Handle knives and equipment responsibly and report accidents immediately.
  • Treat fellow learners and staff with respect. Harassment, intoxication or unsafe behaviour may lead to removal without refund.

07. Learner property and equipment

Desi Recipe equipment, utensils and uniforms remain our property unless issued to you to keep. Learners are responsible for damage caused through careless or deliberate misuse. We are not responsible for loss of personal belongings brought into the kitchen.

08. Intellectual property

Recipes, manuals, videos, photographs, logos and website content created by Desi Recipe are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may use recipes and techniques for your own cooking and career, but you may not copy, publish, sell or teach our course materials without written permission.

09. Website use

You agree not to misuse our website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code or use automated tools to copy content. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

10. Limitation of liability

We take reasonable care to provide safe, high-quality training. To the extent permitted by law, Desi Recipe is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income or business opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for anything that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time; the version published on this page applies to new enrolments from the date shown. These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our registered place of business, as listed on our Contact page, and any disputes will be handled by the competent courts there.
